Welcome to your monthly reset. This stylish two-bedroom villa is made for couples, families and remote workers: high-speed Wi-Fi, a full kitchen, a secluded private pool and blooming gardens. You're tucked inside Palm Grove, a quiet, gated community with 24/7 security and its own restaurant, with Mojo Spa a two-minute walk away. Golf is 5 to 10 minutes, the beach about 15, yet the noise of normal life won't follow you here.

Thai basics
A smile and a few words of Thai go a long way. Here is what we wish someone had told us on our first trip.
Ten useful phrases
Men end polite sentences with khrap, women with kha.
Get a Thai phone number
Many travel eSIMs give you data only, without a Thai number. Most Thai apps and online shops send a code by SMS to a Thai number before you can pay, and I had real trouble buying anything online without one.
So buy a tourist SIM with a Thai number at the airport when you land, or at any TRUE shop in town. Bring your passport: it is needed to register the SIM.

Good to know
Utilities
Electricity and water are metered and billed separately, according to use.
For longer stays, usage is settled at checkout. A small kindness to the planet and to your bill: switch off the air-conditioning when you head out.
Bottled water for drinking
Tap water in Hua Hin and Hin Lek Fai is treated at the source, mainly the Pranburi Dam. It isn't safe to drink straight from the tap, though, because of older distribution pipes and low water pressure.

Daily meditations
Seven short meditations, one for each day of the week. Today's is ready for you, or choose any day below.
Intention Setting
This meditation aligns you with your true direction. Through guided breath and visualisation, you connect with a heart-centred intention that becomes your compass for the days ahead. Your intention doesn't need to be perfect; it only needs to be true for you right now.
Pause and notice how your body feels. Write your intention in your journal, even just a few words. Writing it down anchors it.
Grounding & Centering
When you feel scattered or unsteady, this meditation brings you back to your core. Through breath and grounding imagery, you send roots deep into the Earth while keeping your crown open to receive guidance from above. Steady. Anchored. Open.
Notice the sense of weight and stability in your body. Write one or two words describing how you want to feel for the rest of the day.
“I am steady, rooted, and open to the flow of life.”
Self-Love & Empowerment
This meditation opens you to unconditional self-love and awakens your inner courage. Your worth is not something to earn; it is the truth you already carry. With each breath you strengthen your connection to your heart's light, releasing self-doubt and stepping fully into your own presence.
Notice the warmth in your heart space. Write down one thing you appreciate about yourself right now.
“I am worthy of my own love, exactly as I am.”
Healing & Releasing
This meditation guides you to release what no longer serves you, like old emotions, patterns or heaviness, and make space for renewal. Through the imagery of flowing light, stagnant energy dissolves, leaving you refreshed and open to new possibilities.
Notice where your body or mind feels lighter. Write down one thing you're ready to let go of, and one thing you're ready to welcome in.
“I release with love and open to renewal.”
Chakra Balancing
This meditation harmonises your seven energy centres, bringing your whole system into balance. As your chakras align, energy flows freely and clarity rises naturally. Moving through each centre, you feel both grounded and expanded, fully connected and in harmony.
Sense the flow of energy up and down your spine. Write down any colours, sensations or emotions that stood out.
“I am aligned, balanced, and in harmony with my true self.”
Manifestation & Abundance
This meditation focuses your energy on attracting the opportunities, resources and experiences that match your highest good. Through visualisation and intention, you step into the feeling of already having what you desire, making it easier for it to find its way to you. Not forcing. Not chasing. Aligning. Allowing. Receiving.
Write down the clearest vision or detail that came to you. Keep this note somewhere you'll see it often.
“I am a magnet for what is aligned with my soul.”
Crystal Light Waterfall
This meditation immerses you in crystalline waters of light, cleansing, recharging and activating your field. Beneath the waterfall of light, any remaining heaviness dissolves as your energy is replenished with pure, high-frequency light. Not just cleansing. Activation. Remembrance.
Notice the clarity and spaciousness in your mind and body. Write down any messages, images or feelings that felt like a gift.
“I am refreshed, renewed, and radiant in my light.”
Before you begin
Wear something comfortable, make a herbal tea if you like, and keep a journal nearby. If you have the crystal of the day, hold it; if not, no worries. The pool deck in the early morning or the bedroom before sleep are both lovely spots.
How to practise
Begin with seven slow 7x7 breaths. Then follow the guided meditation. When it ends, stay in silence for as long as feels right. There is no rush.

Traffic and flooding
The Hua Hin municipality streams its traffic cameras live, mostly along Phetkasem Road. Tap a camera on the map to see the road right now. The site is in Thai, but the map is easy to use.
